| WASHINGTON CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM |
|---|
| Purpose: |
The Employers and Unions participating in the Washington Construction Industry
Substance Abuse Program (WCISAP) recognize that drug and alcohol abuse pose a
direct and significant threat to the goal of a productive and efficient working environment
in which all employees have an opportunity to reach their full potential. The
participating Unions and Employers are committed to assuring a drug-free working
environment for all employees. |
This Plan and the related Trust Fund are established to pay for the services and
procedures needed to detect, assess, and refer for appropriate medical treatment any
alcohol, drug or other substance abuse by any covered employee of a participating
Employer. |
| This Plan voluntarily utilizes the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and Federal guidelines relating to drug-free workplace programs, including the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT). |
